We're excited to announce the launch of Kuiper 2.0, a major update to our due diligence platform. After running our initial version and gathering valuable feedback from our users, we decided to rebuild our codebase from the ground up. This wasn't a decision we made lightly, but we knew it was necessary to create the reliable, efficient platform you need.
Significant Improvements in Speed and File Handling
The most noticeable changes in Kuiper 2.0 are the dramatic improvements in processing speed and file capacity. In our first version, files typically took 15-20 minutes to process, regardless of size, and we couldn't handle files larger than 20MB. Now:
- Small files process in under 2 minutes
- Medium-sized files typically complete in about 5 minutes
- Large files (up to 100MB) take around 15 minutes or more, depending on size
- We've substantially increased our file size limit from 20MB to 100MB
This means less time waiting and more time analyzing the data that matters to you. We're not stopping here – we're already working toward supporting files up to 1GB in the coming quarter.
Coming Soon: Enhanced Data Processing
We're also excited about several features we'll be rolling out very soon:
- Support for multiple header rows in CSV files (currently limited to single headers)
- Expanded category detection beyond just transactions
- Ability to process diverse table formats within CSV files
- New options for creating custom charts based on your data
Why We Rebuilt
While our first version helped us understand what our users needed, we recognized that achieving the performance and reliability you deserve required fundamental changes to our architecture. This wasn't just about adding features – it was about creating a robust, API-driven foundation designed for scalability and rapid improvement.
Our team rebuilt the platform from scratch, implementing parallel processing capabilities that can handle hundreds of simultaneous file requests. We've introduced enhanced logging systems and modular code that helps us identify and resolve issues significantly faster than before. While some features from our previous version are still being implemented, we now have a test-driven architecture specifically designed for rapid iteration and continuous improvement – setting the foundation for an enterprise-grade platform that can grow with your needs.
What's Next
The improvements in Kuiper 2.0 are significant, but they're just the beginning. Our new architecture allows us to develop and roll out improvements more efficiently, and we're already working on expanding our analysis capabilities and adding new features based on your feedback.
We believe in building tools that make your due diligence process smoother and more efficient, and this update represents a major step toward that goal. We're excited to continue improving and evolving based on your needs.
